Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Went back to this location after having an oil chage & cabin filter replaced. Had fluids checked. Our Kia Optima was 1 quart low on oil. Wanted to charge $9. Said it was cheaper than Walmart...which it actually isn't. They also didn't mention when had service completed that there's a charge for top offs. I came back to the University St location in Peoria, IL after first going here to have fluids checked/topped off. They did so & were friendly (even though I'd had my most recent change done at Big Ray's) in E. Peoria. There was a really nice woman in there working that day who was especially nice. So, after encountering rude employees at Big Rays in East Peoria, 7/12/26 I returned to Valvoline for my needed oil change. Everything was checked out. A filter was recommended, shown to me, discounted greatly & replaced. VERY SATISFIED & WILL RETURN!!

Sunny and Jayden did an amazing job servicing my vehicle. They completed an oil change, front differential, and rear differential service on my 2023 Dodge Durango in about 25 minutes! Sunny is very knowledgeable and told me about each service that was being completed and each service that was still due on my vehicle in a short, timely fashion that did not leave me bored and wondering what was happening to my vehicle! Jayden thoroughly cleaned my vehicle of all the old engine and differential oils, which is VERY important to me!

Super quick. Kati, the manager, was very helpful, kind, and honest. It is easy to feel like you’re being taken advantage of and upsold during oil changes but Kati was informative and not pushy at all. She led her team very well. I went in for an oil change and they were able to address and fix multiple issues I had within 15-20 minutes. Will be coming here for all my future car needs! Price was very fair and there is many deals.

they displayed issues putting the engine air filter back together ... left it that way... I didnt check it till I had driveability issues. when I had drove after the service it was only 2 miles from the shop this morning driving to work the vehicle exhibited a shudder taking off and backing up.so I checked on the issues I saw them experiencing during visit. I found 2 screws that hold the filter box not able to screw into place and had to remove the 2 tight ones and adjust the box so they met correctly and seal correctly then tighten all 4 screws proplery. if they cant get that right they need to find a job they CAN do correctly. long haired guy closed up the air filter box with a powered drill till it clicked several times..... glad nothing broke or stripped since its all plastic. I will be very villigant if I return to this location for an oil change.

Zac was very thorough and informative throughout my service today. He made sure I understood every step but wasn’t overbearing in trying to sell certain services to me, which is typically the case. At the end of my oil change, he even helped me find a coupon! This was definitely my most positive oil change experience, and I would certainly recommend this shop to others.
